Review - Gifting Me to His Best Friend by Katee Robert

Gifting Me To His Best Friend (A Touch of Taboo #2)Gifting Me To His Best Friend by Katee Robert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gifting Me to His Best Friend by Katee Robert is a lovely Christmas ménage erotic romance novella, and is a fun, quick read. Emma and her husband, Grayson, always go on vacation at Christmas with his best friend, Derek. There's always been an attraction between Emma and Derek, but she would never act on it. However, this year Grayson has a surprise - he wants to give her to Derek for 36 hours over Christmas. When they agree, they learn that there is more than just a good time to be had.

I don't typically read a lot of erotica, and this is only the second ménage story I've read, but I could appreciate a lot about this book. Consent was always completely clear and at the fore, there were never any instances of anyone doing anything that everyone wasn't explicitly on board with. The acceptance between all of the characters was crazy to me in that it was just so much a non-issue - there was never any jealousy or hesitance, all three of the characters have been close for years and trust each other completely.

The book is very insular - the whole story takes place in a cabin in a snowstorm (of course, lol!) over a couple of days. As a novella, the story is very tight - there isn't a lot of filler, so we don't know much about the characters out side of their relationships to each other (which is perfect, we didn't need it all since that wasn't the story Katee Robert was telling). Overall a great read, I would recommend - if you are ok with lots of very explicit sex and ménage stories.
